Quilting Night!!

The ladies from my work have started a quilting night. It happens every second thursday and yesterday was the first day. It was SO MUCH FUN!! I started my quilt that I have been meaning to start for weeks now! I wish I had my camera so I could take a picture or my progres. The older ladies helped us younger ladies with quilting and it was just so much fun. Isn't getting together with the girls just a blast! Anyone local is invited to come along!

Giving Blood...

The other night, Eric and I had attempted to give blood. Notice how I used the word attempted. Eric did but I was unable too because my iron was too low. I was very disappointed as this was my first time going! I didn't know that they tested my iron and think that they should tell you when you make the appointment. I would have taken an iron supplement that day or something. Anyways I had to meet with the nurse because she said my iron was much to low and I had to make an appointment with my doctor. I was 10.3 (i'm not sure what the measurement is in.) she said usual is 12-14 or something.

The Body Shop

The other day I wondered into a Body Shop. It has been quite some time since I have been there and had no intention of spending any money. I went in with a friend. It turns out that there was a very good salesperson in that day. I ended up buying a home fragrance thing-y. It's really cool and I love it. I bought Cranberry, Satsuma, and Golden Apple scents and a very nice looking burner. It's great and I use it ALL the time! I would recommend them to everyone. They do a great job of smelling up the entire room. Unfortuntly my camera is dead and I haven't been able to find the charger...so here is an internet picture of my actual burner.

Very Best Spaghetti Sauce

It's a bit different, but trust me, very delicious! I also don't have exact measurements so it's only for the creative cook.

Ground Beef
onions
garlic cloves (I put lots because I love garlic)
Salt and Pepper
Big can of tomatoes (diced, stewed, crushed, it's up to you...)
Club House -- Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning (I used just oregeno and basil because I couldn't find this at the store...) (season to taste, but dont be shy)
can of Mushroom Soup
can of tomato soup
red pepper
mushrooms
Cheese Whiz (tex mex cheesewhiz if you can find it... has a little more zing!)

It's pretty straight forward, brown the beef add the onions and garlic, add everything else mix it up, heat it up. serve.

This is delicious, and I must give credit where it is deserved. Carol, the cook, is the creator of this delicious recipe... yes i know amy, dont even say it!

The Accident

I got into my very first car accident yesterday... at work. I had just left to go pick up the boys from school in a very big brown 15 passenger vehicle. The gravel roads were a bit icy, but I didn't realize just how much until moments later. I took a curve in the road going my usual curve speed 40km/hr. The next thing I know the back end is sliding out... out of control. I try to pump my breaks to slow down, but with no luck I go crashing into the ditch and flip onto the passenger side. At this moment I am totally freaking out. I am hanging in my seat by my seatbelt, which I will ALWAYS where from the moment I get into my vehicle from now on, and attempt to unbuckle and get out of the vehicle. I unbuckle and fall to the floor, well actually the passenger side window, but I am ok. I grab my cellphone and call the house, "Um, Carol, I just got into an accident, I flipped the van" I say on the verge of tears with my voice shaking. I wait in the vehicle for Errol (my boss) who is there in seconds and he helps me out. I work for great people and they are just happy that I am ok. I get back to the house to Jennifer (my other boss) and Carol (housekeeper/cook) both give me big hugs and let me cry. We had some tea and I felt much better. Carol talked about her numerous accidents and I felt even better. Then, another worker said that earlier in the day he nearly did the same thing, but luckily he was able to regain control. I felt even better. Today i am a little sore, but that is all.

Apology

I apologize for not posting in FOREVER. I have been trying to get my wedding pictures up but they are not working for some STUPID reason... then i get really annoyed and just dont post anything. Does anyone know if you can do a photo album or something?
