The case of the missing Chicken breasts
I usually leave chicken on the counter to thaw, which I did yesterday. Oma ended up having us over for supper so the chicken did not get used, but since we did not get home until 1030 it sat out on the counter. Now this is not out of the ordinary and we never had problems before with disappearing chicken breasts. We looked over the whole house in case sgt pepper had decided he wanted more for supper then dry kernals but we had no luck. We decided to go to bed and think about it more in the morning. Eric woke up in the wee hours of the morning to Sgt pepper rustling around and in turn woke me up as well. This normally wouldn't bother me because this is a regular occurance in our home, but then I remembered the chicken breast! We looked around but didn't find anything and decided it wasn't the missing chicken breast. A little later.... same thing. This time Eric had woken up quick enough and caught Sgt Pepper with a ziploc bag full of chicken!!! Last time we were too slow and he must have stashed it in his hiding place, which we still don't know how to find!! Not only did Sgt Pepper have the chicken breasts, but he had eaten a hole in the bag and was eating the chicken!
